Edward Tenthoff

Mr. Tenthoff is a managing director and senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray, a U.S.-based investment bank. Mr. Tenthoff conducts research on equities in the biotechnology industry with a focus on anti-infective and cancer drug discovery, orphan diseases, and cell therapy. He is an active participant in the Piper Jaffray Health Care Conference, which occurs annually in New York. In June of 2011, he participated in the Starting Up Biotechs in the Normal World panel at BIO International Conference in Washington, D.C., In May 2011, Mr. Tenthoff was ranked the #1 Picker in the Maverick STARS Survey Ranking and was ranked #1 Stock Picker for the Life Science Tools sector in the 2006 StarMine Analyst Awards. He was named to the 2004 Piper Jaffray President’s Council and was a founding member of the Piper Jaffray Inclusion Advisory Council. Prior to joining Piper Jaffray in 2003, Mr. Tenthoff covered the genomics sector at Robertson Stephens & Company and was a medical technology analyst at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Tenthoff received a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a minor in French from the University of Pennsylvania.
