Dr. Hasan is the founder and CEO of HealthTrio. He is a well-known pioneer and innovator in the U.S. healthcare industry. Dr. Hasan holds degrees from King Edward Medical College of Lahore, Pakistan; Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh, Scotland; and the Royal College of Physicians of London. He was trained and worked at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. He is a certified member of the American Association of Electromyography and Electrodiagnosis and a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has served on numerous national commissions related to improvements to the U.S. healthcare system and industry.
As a board-certified neurologist since June 1975, Dr. Hasan maintained a private practice until July 1992, while concurrently overseeing the administration of QualMed (later HealthNet, Health Systems International, Inc., then Foundation Health Systems), the HMO he founded in 1985. By 1994, the company was a Fortune 500 Company with approximate revenue of $2 billion, and in 1997, it was a Fortune 200 company. He has been a speaker at national forums being asked to be keynote speaker twice at the Harvard University Health Care Conferences. Dr. Hasan was awarded a medal by the Smithsonian Museum for innovation. He holds numerous U.S. and International patents in healthcare.
Following extensive years of innovative work in the fields of medicine, managed care, and healthcare informatics, in 1998, Dr. Hasan left managed care and founded Monument Systems, Inc., a company dedicated to providing internet-based connectivity solutions for healthcare providers, health plans, consumers, and employers. In 2007, Dr. Hasan formed HealthTrio, LLC, as a separate and distinct entity consisting of the assets and intellectual property of the former Monument Systems, Inc., and HealthTrio, Inc., a combined entity.
